AI features

AshQuiz offers optional AI tools. This page explains what they do, what data they use and how to use them safely.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. What the AI does

  • Drafts questions from a topic, text, PDF, web page or image.
  • Suggests a grade and feedback for written answers.
  • Explains answers and suggests a study plan.

AI features are optional and have daily limits.

2. What is sent to AI providers

Only what is needed for your request: the text, file, link or answer you asked about, and the question or grading rules. We do not send your password, email address or payment details. Do not put sensitive personal data in prompts or uploads, for example health or identity numbers.

3. Which providers

We use an AI model we run ourselves and, as a fallback when it is unavailable, a model from Anthropic (Claude). Providers process the request to give us a response and are bound by their terms and our agreements with them.

4. AI can be wrong

AI output can be inaccurate, biased or out of date. Creators must check AI-drafted questions and answer keys before publishing. Teachers decide the final grade; an AI suggestion does not count until a person accepts it. AshQuiz does not guarantee the output.

5. Your choices

You can build tests without AI. To ask about AI processing of your data, write to the contact details on our Contact page.
