How can we help?

Quick answers about taking tests, creating tests and your account.

Getting started

What is AshQuiz?

AshQuiz is a place to create tests, take them, and share them. You can practise on free tests, challenge friends, or publish your own.

Do I need an account?

You can browse tests without one. An account lets you save progress, bookmark tests, follow creators, and publish your own.

Where do I find tests?

Open Explore to browse by category, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to search tests, creators and topics from any page.

Taking tests

What happens if I run out of time?

The test submits automatically with the answers you have so far. Unanswered questions count as incorrect.

Can I change an answer or skip a question?

Yes. Use the question map to jump around, and flag questions to come back to. You can change answers until you submit.

Where can I see which answers I got wrong?

After you finish, open Review Answers on the results page. Each question shows your answer, the correct one and an explanation when the creator added one.

Can I retake a test?

Usually, yes. Creators can limit attempts, in which case the test page shows how many you have left.

Creating tests

How do I create my first test?

Press Create, give the test a title, then add questions. Pick a question type from the list and see a sample before you choose. Autosave keeps your draft safe.

Can AI write the questions for me?

Yes. Open Create with AI, describe the topic (or paste your notes), and review the generated questions before you publish. AI can make mistakes, so always check the answers.

What is the difference between Public, Unlisted and Private?

Public tests appear in Explore and search. Unlisted tests can only be opened with the link. Private tests can only be opened by you.

What does the passing score do?

It is the percentage a participant needs to pass. Passing unlocks the certificate if you turned certificates on.

Account & privacy

How do I change my profile or username?

Open Settings and pick Profile or Account.

Who can see my activity?

You decide in Settings, under Privacy. You can hide your activity and leaderboard position, or make your profile private.

How do I turn off notifications?

Settings, then Notifications. You can switch off each type and set quiet hours.
